The Mister and Miss Hillside pageant is a scholarship pageant for the seniors. The winner is determined by fundraising efforts, student vote and pageant outcome. The pageant was managed by the student council.
This year the pageant has five contestants, three female and two male.
45% percent of the funds raised goes to the student council and 55% goes to the pageant for the college scholarship.
The advantages of being on the student council is that the students are involved with hosting events for the school year. The Student Council helps build community involvement.
Hillside has around 35 students on the student council. For each class they are students that are representing the class sophomore, junior, and senior. The student body president is Senior Olivia Henson.
